Software used: 3Ds Max, V-ray render and Adobe After Effects

This project marked the culmination of our year, serving as our first foray into the world of animation. We were granted the freedom to animate whatever our hearts desired, utilizing frame animation. Personally, I chose to embark on a renovation project, creating a kitchen from scratch. Additionally, I sought to pay homage to our cherished coffee club, which had been a staple throughout the school year, by incorporating a coffee press into the animation.
To bring my vision to life, I meticulously modeled the kitchen, drawing inspiration from a reference photo. The coffee press was also meticulously crafted, with my own trusty press serving as a reference. I challenged myself by animating various elements, including a stunning sunrise time-lapse, smooth panning shots across the kitchen, and even the intricate movements of the coffee press itself.
Careful planning was essential for this project. I allocated just over four days for rendering, leaving one week for modeling, a weekend for test rendering in lower quality, and a final four days for the actual rendering. During this time, I worked on the post-production using the test renders. As a result, when the final high-quality renders were complete, I could seamlessly replace the images and achieve a polished animation, minimizing any unnecessary time wastage.
The joy and satisfaction I derived from delving into the realm of animation make it a venture I am eager to revisit in the future. This project has truly ignited a passion within me.
